Welcome Message
Welcome to the website pages of the Douglas Community Safety Partnership (DCSP).
I am delighted to have been appointed to the position of Chairman of the Douglas Community Safety Partnership. By way of background, I have been a Police Officer for 29 years, and prior to this appointment, was the Commander of the Douglas Neighbourhood Policing Team based at Lord Street Station. My role at Lord Street enabled me to witness at first hand the commitment and forward thinking of the Borough Council in developing the Corporate Plan for Douglas, from which the Douglas Charter came into being. Signed up to by a number of Government Departments and of course the Constabulary, the Douglas Charter aims to improve service levels and lay the foundations for a ‘Cleaner, Safer, Greener’ capital. This was the beginnings of a true partnership working style between the agencies which has now been formalised with the launch of the DCSP.
The Douglas Community Safety Partnership members are committed to working together, striving to improve quality of life for all who live, work and visit the Borough.
Yours sincerely
